These terms govern your use of genlien. By using genlien you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use genlien.
1. What genlien provides
genlien is a self-help document preparation tool. It formats information you enter into a document structure. genlien is not a law firm, does not practice law, and provides no legal advice. Using genlien does not create an attorney client relationship.
2. You are solely responsible
You are solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and legal sufficiency of everything you enter and everything you prepare with genlien. You decide whether to prepare a document, what facts to enter, what amount to claim, and whether to file or serve anything. You are responsible for confirming that any document meets the requirements that apply to your situation and jurisdiction.
3. No warranty
genlien makes no warranty that any document prepared with it is valid, accurate, complete, legally sufficient, or fit for filing or for any particular purpose. genlien is provided on an as is and as available basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
4. Not legal advice
genlien does not tell you whether to file, whether a claim is valid, what amount to claim, or what a deadline requires of you. Those are legal questions. Mechanics lien requirements differ by state and change over time. Verify current requirements against the state statute or with a licensed attorney.
5. Assumption of risk
You assume all risk arising from your use of genlien and from any document you prepare with it. A defective or overstated lien can be void and can expose you to liability, and some states penalize overstated or fraudulent liens. You accept these risks. Claim only what is actually owed to you.
6. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, genlien and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of genlien or from any document prepared with it, including any claim that a document was invalid, insufficient, rejected, late, or overstated. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the total liability of genlien and its operators for any claim relating to genlien will not exceed the amount you paid to use genlien for the transaction giving rise to the claim.
7. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless genlien and its operators from any claim or demand arising from your use of genlien, from any document you prepare, or from your filing or service of any document.
8. Preview build
This build is provided for preview only. Documents prepared in this build are marked as a preview and are not intended for filing. genlien withholds filing ready output until licensed attorney review is complete for the relevant state and document.
9. Changes
genlien may update these terms. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated terms.
